Police appeal for animal cruelty information

Can you help police find who is responsible for this cruelty?

A female peregrine falcon was found in the grounds of Selby Abbey on 7 May 2021, seriously injured and unable to fly.

The 8 year old bird was taken to a specialist falconry vet who x-rayed her to find several pieces of shot in her body.

She is now in the expert care of wildlife rehabilitator, Jean Thorpe, who will give her the best possible chance of surviving her injuries.

This type of cruelty is shocking and will not be tolerated police have said
